making room for a new wing containing the bulk
ofthe apartments.
The developers hired Hartman-Cox Architects to
oversee the renovation of the original mansion and to
design the new addition facing P Street. Darryl Carter
Inc. designed the interiors of the common areas in the
historic building. New York-based Rockwell Group
Courtyard between the addition developed the conceptual design for the individual living
